Jumping in the House

Last weekend was Sydney's birthday party, and all she wanted was a pink bounce house. She's been asking for one for almost an entire year. She just wanted a bounce house and her friends to come play in it with her. Unfortunately, the weather man was calling for rain all day on Saturday – the day of the party. What were we going to do?

Leah and I talked and then called the All4Fun team with an idea. We decided to put the bounce house in the living room. As you can imagine, the lady at All4Fun actually laughed at Leah when she proposed the idea, but they still delivered the pink bounce house on time. The guy that came to set it up said that this would be the first time that he had ever heard of someone trying to put a bounce house in their house.

We measured everything out and cleared the room, and it just fit. I had to get the tie downs from my truck to anchor it to the wall between the living room and the kitchen, but it worked out well. Sydney's friends all came over and everyone had a blast jumping in the bounce house. As a matter of fact, one of the little boys came over to his mom after a few minutes of jumping and said, "Mom, we need a room like Mrs. Leah's at our house." I guess it never occurred to him that we don't normally have a couch in the kitchen.

Enjoy the pics.
